Planning and Diagramming Software

Advanced Diagramming Software

I use diagrams almost daily in consulting with my clients. The reason is simply that my clients, like most people, are visual learners, and supplying them with visual graphics gets the point across quickly. I also use diagrams in my training programs and articles. For years, I would switch back and forth on a dozen programs to achieve my needs. That was before I found a single software program that met all of my needs and more.

Diagramming

A diagram is a symbolic representation of information using visualization techniques.

 Diagrams are everywhere in the form of flowcharts, organizational charts, floor plans, network diagrams, process diagrams, and many others. Some lists show over 130 specific types of diagrams, with thousands of unique uses. It is no surprise that diagrams have become prevalent in every type of business worldwide. And, while there are a great number of diagramming software programs available, not all are affordable. Most have moved to cloud-based hosting (which slows down the application and requires an Internet connection) and have a monthly fee that only covers a certain number of diagrams each month. Others are limited in the features or options that they offer.

That is why when I came across MyDraw, I was skeptical at first. The first green light was that not only was it free, but it is desktop-based. And, the best part is they have a free download for a fully functional 30-day trial of MyDraw for Windows and macOS. There is no difference between the trial and the licensed version of MyDraw in regards to functionality. The only difference is an evaluation watermark displayed on the drawing documents. The trial version will allow you to work with the application for 30 days. A valid license will unlock the trial of MyDraw and you will continue working without any restrictions. The cost of the program US$69.00 license fee was well worth the price.

  • Perpetual Single User License
  • Compatible with Windows and Mac
  • It may be used on 2 computers
  • New version updates of MyDraw for One Year
  • Transfer of License Keys to different computers;
  • Technical support.

MyDraw Standard licenses are perpetual and will provide a no-charge upgrade to the next paid version. This means that it is a one-time purchase and the version you have licensed will not expire. You can upgrade to the latest version of the application at a preferential price, which is currently only US$36 per year.

Why You Need Diagramming Software

Every screenprinting business should be creating standard operating procedures, which often need to include easy to understand Process diagrams, Workflow, Cause and Effect, Schedule Flow, Delay Causes, Organizational Charts, Hierarchy Charts, Floor Plan Drawings, Issue Report Process, Item Ordering Process, Order Fulfillment Process, Order Process, Payment Process, and more. Most of these will fall into Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), a flow chart method that models the steps of a planned business process from end to end. Creating flow charts provides a map of any process that makes it easy for any staff member to easily visualize the process. MyDraw includes translation languages that make it easy to switch between them. Create in English and translate into Spanish or vice versus.
