Having conducted virtual coaching and training sessions over the last two decades, with clients halfway around the world, has proven the ability to communicate successfully with others remotely. Research has shown that the length and delivery formats of coaching and training have little — if any — impact on the effectiveness of the information when it is of high quality.
Face to face meetings are useful in developing trust, adapting and using coaching tools or approaches which aid clarity of communication. We need to understand that providing information solely in the form of written instruction, as in social media or via email may work to some degree.
However, with face-to-face coaching and training via online video conferencing we have the vital social cues with which to work. The body language or facial expression provide non-verbal cues as to what others are feeling and thinking. As a coach or trainer, these non-verbal cues help us to provide better explanations as we can see when others may be questioning a point, allowing us to extend on the information being offered.
We provide multiple ways in which we work based on the client’s needs and wants, as well as within budget constraints.
